Youth

Our youth program began in 2007 as a pilot project through an Ontario Trillium Grant. Since that time the program has continued to expand and flourish.

With funding from various grants and Frontenac County Municipalities we are able to offer programs that allow youth the ability to be physically healthy, develop their leadership skills, and socially connect with their peers.

Our program is set up so that all youth have an ability to grow into teens that are healthy, successful and engaged through a supportive setting. We also engage youth by removing barriers such as prohibitive fee costs and transportation.

Programs & Services

Kids Club programming runs from mid September to late June. Kids Club is open to youth between grades 1-8 (grade grouping varies by location).

Youth attending Kids Club participate in group games, craft activities, sports and more. Youth are welcome to bring a snack or enjoy a snack made by youth during the program. Youth should be prepared for indoor and outdoor activities. There is a yearly program supply fee of $20.00.

Program Locations

  • Mondays: The Child Centre, Sharbot Lake
  • Tuesdays: Clarendon Central Public School, Plevna
  • Wednesdays: Land O’ Lakes Public School, Mountain Grove
  • Fridays: Granite Ridge Education Centre, Sharbot Lake

Please note our 2024 Summer Day Camp is now Full!

Our Summer Day Camp runs Monday-Wednesday from 9:00am- 4:00pm. This program is open to youth ages 6- 12. Youth Must be 6 years of age before attending camp.

Our Youth Program strives to make all programming affordable and accessible to youth. Our Summer Day Camp costs $20.00 per day to attend. Each week of camp has a different theme for the activities and games we play.

  • Week 1 (July 8-10): Under the Sea
  • Week 2 (July 15-17): Mad Scientist
  • Week 3 (July 22-24): Up Up and Away
  • Week 4 (July 29-31): Camp Olympics
  • No camp for the week of August 5-7
  • Week 5 (August 12-14): Around the World
  • Week 6 (August 19-21): Survivor Week
  • Week 7 (August 26-28): Journey Through Time

Registration Opens Early February

This program is open to youth ages 6-12. Youth must be 6 years of age before attending camp. Space in this program is limited and is filled on a first come basis.

Our Youth Program strives to make all programming affordable and accessible to youth. Our two day March Break Camp costs $40.00 to attend. Camp Theme:

New this year! Join us this summer for Junior Camper Days! We have 3 fantastic days planned this summer for children ages 4-6 (born between 2017-2019). This camp will run out of our Child Centre location (1004 Art Duffy Rd. Sharbot Lake) from 9am-4pm.
